CAR PURCHASE/IMPORT PERSONAL CAR

Approved participants of Malaysia My Second Home Programme are provided with various incentives to make their stay more comfortable and enjoyable in Malaysia. Please be informed that starting from November 2010, the application for tax exemption for the locally purchased and imported car need to be done through the online application system at https://smpc.treasury.gov.my/sop/workdesk/login.jsp  and manual application is not acceptable 从2010年11月开始，购买或者进口免税车只接受从以上网站在线提交申请。

Car Purchase 购买免税车

The MM2H participant may purchase one new motorcar made or assembled in Malaysia. He/ she will be exempted from paying excise duty and sales tax on the new motorcar. 第二家园参与者可以购买一辆免税车，可以是新车或者在马来西亚组装的车。也就是说纯进口车不包括。 An application to PURCHASE a new motorcar made or assembled in Malaysia must be forwarded to the Ministry of Finance within a period of one year from the endorsement date of Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) social visit pass. 购买免税车的申请必须从马来西亚第二家园社交访问签证的签发日期起算一年内提交到财政局。 Note: Do not make an outright purchase of the motorcar before obtaining approval for tax/ duty exemption from the Ministry of Finance. However, a booking for a motorcar may be made prior to obtaining approval from the Treasury. 注：在拿到财政局的免税申请批文之前请不要先购买，但是可以预定。

Import Personal Car 进口私人车辆

The MM2H participant may import one motorcar, which belongs to him/her country of citizenship or where he/she last domiciled. He/she will be exempted from paying import duty, excise duty and sales tax on the imported motorcar. 参与者可以进口一辆属于自己所在国或者原常住国的免税车，这部车将被免除进口税消费税和销售税 Application to IMPORT a motorcar from the participant's country of citizenship/ last domicile must be forwarded to the Ministry of Finance within a period of six months from the endorsement date of Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) social visit pass. 从参与者所在国或者原常住国进口车辆的申请必须从第二家园签证签发日期起算6个月之内提交到财政部. IMPORTANT: The condition for the car import is that the MM2H participant should be the owner of the motorcar for at least 6 months prior to obtaining the MM2H visa, as evidenced in the motorcar registration document. 重要提示: 进口的车应该在MM2H获批之前最少6个月是属于MM2H申请者名下的，可从汽车的相关文件证明。

Note

Participants are only allowed to sell their imported/ locally purchased car after 2 year's stay on the programme. Should the wish to sell their imported/ locally purchase car before 2 years, they are subjected to repayment of import duty, excise duty and sales tax according to the prevailing rates. 参与者在这个计划内2年之后才被允许出售进口或者当地购买的免税车。 Importation or puchase of motorcar must be for personal use only and not for commercial use 进口或当地购买的免税车仅供个人使用，不得用于商业用途。 The MM2H participant is eligible for tax/duty exemption for only ONE car 第二家园参与者仅能申请一辆免税车。
